Merger results in a new world-class connectivity solution provider

Charlotte, NC – December 2021… Neutrik Americas (NAM), a wholly owned subsidiary of Neutrik AG and a member of the Neutrik Group, is pleased to announce that, effective December 13, 2021, it will have acquired its long-time business partner and customer, Major Custom Cable (MCC). MCC is recognized as a premier manufacturer of data and communication cables.

Neutrik’s efforts to expand into new markets is enhanced by the acquisition of MCC. The Neutrik Group’s expertise as a manufacturer of connectivity solutions is now augmented by MCC’s leadership. This new level of shared knowledge and experience is expected to elevate Neutrik Americas’ ability to diversify.

Peter Milbery, President of Neutrik Americas, commented on the company’s acquisition of MCC, “Neutrik has a long and successful history with Major Custom Cable as both a customer and a supplier—and the company has always impressed us with their capabilities, quality, and fast response times. For more than a decade, Neutrik has pushed to expand into new markets with our ruggedized copper- and fiber-based locking, circular connectors. The acquisition of MCC will help us accelerate this push to diversify into new markets. At NAM, we are thrilled that we will now have U.S. based manufacturing in addition to our existing global manufacturing capabilities. We look forward to a long-term and close relationship with MCC.”

Clark Hurrell, President of Major Custom Cable, shares Milbery’s enthusiasm, “The Neutrik acquisition of Major Custom Cable creates an exciting future for our employees. The combined expertise of both teams provides our customers with an expanded product offering, increased sales support, and reduced lead times due to the USA-based manufacturing capabilities of Major Custom Cable. Everyone at our company sees this acquisition as very positive, and we look forward to taking our combined efforts to the next level.”

The Neutrik Group adds new FIBERFOX production lines, facilitating improved lead times and new production concepts

The Neutrik Group has announced it has completed two new FIBERFOX production lines, now in operation, at the group’s Connex Oldenburg plant in Germany. As a result, market demand for NEUTRIK FIBERFOX products will be significantly better served going forward, with one-third reduction in standard delivery times. Dietmar Rottinghaus, Managing Director of Connex, says. “Since joining the Neutrik Group in 2021 our sales have gone from strength to strength. The completion of these production lines supports that success and invests in our continuing growth, with new products for the AV and Industrial sectors planned for announcement in 2022”.    FIBERFOX’s hermaphroditic coupling – the connector capable of both front- and rear-mounting – eliminates the need for adaptors and female and male mating halves. Available in 2-channel and 4-channel variants, with either configuration compatible with the other, and other MIL-DTL-83526 specified systems, it dramatically improving mating ability. These are available as both pre-assembled network cables, in standardized lengths, and as the FIBERFOX briDge chassis connector, which fits into the ubiquitous NEUTRIK D-shape cutout. The unique FIBERFOX briDge chassis connector is the first of its kind to convert standard LC patch cables in to an expanded beam solution. Acting as a ‘feed-through’ and fitting in to an industry standard D-size shell. FIBERFOX offers considerable technical and market advantage across a vast array of applications including AV networking, lighting, touring sound and event production, video, broadcast, and in wider industrial and strategic sectors including government communications, security, transportation and energy.

NEUTRIK reveals new FIBERFOX products at Engineering Design Show in the UK

Ryde, Isle of Wight. The Neutrik Group exhibited at this year’s Engineering Design Show at the Coventry Building Society Arena, in the UK, where it showed two new additions to its FIBERFOX connector series.   During the two-day event – which took place on 12 and 13 October and is dedicated to engineering, electronics and embedded design – NEUTRIK unveiled the FIBERFOX foxBRID and FIBERFOX Rotary Joint. The FIBERFOX foxBRID is an expanded beam multimode hermaphroditic connector module, suited to a vast array of industrial applications, including in automation, robotics and rail transportation. The innovative design – available in 2-and 4-channel variants – ensures its ability for deployment in the toughest environments where constant performance and total reliability are critical. The module is designed according to the MIL-DTL-83526 standard and fits to other FIBERFOX solutions.  Benefiting from the expanded beam technology and the precision optical alignment the system creates high immunity against dust, mud, liquids and other contaminations. The FIBERFOX foxBRID module converts a standardized LC Patch cable into an expanded beam solution. It acts as a “feed-through” and fits into industrial standard shells; e.g. Han-Modular® Harting and RockStar® ModuPlug Weidmüller.   The FIBERFOX Rotary Joint is an expanded beam multimode solution which fits to standard optical ST connections. Offering IP56 protection, with two hermetically dust-tight chambers sealed by shaft seals, it is suitable for a wide range of engineering applications where rotation is a challenge, such as in robotics, renewable energy (e.g. wind turbines) and government (e.g. radar). The innovative design ensures maximal flexibility and high data rates in rotating systems.  Benefiting from the expanded beam technology and the precision optical alignment, the Rotary Joint system allows for high rotation speed and an extremely long service life of 500 million revolutions.  FIBERFOX offers considerable technical and market advantage across a vast array of applications including AV networking, lighting, touring sound and event production, video, broadcast, and in wider industrial and strategic sectors including government communications, security, transportation and energy.
